(23) airline tickets

After watching airline prices since August, I felt I needed more of my time freed up to prepare other details; so on October 8 I searched for and reached out to 4 agents. I replied immediately with a phone call. I told them our purpose, range of travel dates, and our budget. Marvel from ASAP travel took down the information and said he would call when he found the best deal. He found an ok deal but I wasn't impressed. The next day he called saying that their expert team went to work on it and found an incredible deal. I thought I would do one last search myself. I found 2 travelnopyions yhat were less expensive but had LONG layovers. If I knew more to do or felt more confident in Spain or Istanbul an 18 hour or 24hour layover might not be too bad. Having never traveled internationally and suspecting we may spend more for sleeping, site seeing, and transportation I decided maybe it would t really be much of a savings. It was still hard to purchase the deal found for us. Ben and I prayed and then with his encouragement I purchased the tickets. Once that was done and I looked more closely at the amenities and what the insurance covered it was an incredible deal. The tickets we got: took us through an area of Europe that we studied from quite a bit and there are sites we want to see and things I hope to experience -we have a 7 1/2 hour layover there; if our travel visas don't get back in time we will be able to change our flight and only be out the $650 insurance fee instead of the $8080 for the tickets; we each get 2 free checked bags, these are $100+ each for only 50 pounds per bag. I had had a dream that we were going to get our tickets for $950 each so I had been slow to purchase. If each bag is at the low end of $100 each we save enough to bring the tickets to that price range. Either way the peace of having tickets purchased and no longer on my list of things to do each day it is worth it. WE HAVE TICKETS! A way has been made possible for us to take the next step on the path to answering the call from God to go to Ghana.
